This section of the MSK eCourse begins with a review of the anatomy of the forearm, wrist, and hand. The pathophysiology of the proximal and distal carpal tunnel is discussed in addition to flexor tends and the three spaces of the palm. Module 2 focuses on the anatomy of the fingers with sonographic identification of flexor tendons, annular and cruciform pulley systems, and the stabilizers of the interphalangeal joints. Three ScanLabs demonstrate scanning techniques and protocols to evaluate the dorsal and volar wrist, hand, and fingers. Module 6 covers pathology of the wrist, with attention to the causes, clinical findings, sonographic signs, and treatment options for carpal tunnel syndrome. Module 7 focuses on clinical and sonographic findings with sonographic examples of pathology of the hand.
