In Module 12 Dr. Humes reminds us that pediatric echocardiography is more than congenital defects. There are several pediatric diseases with cardiac consequences which deserve discussion. These diseases include Marfan's syndrome, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy, pericarditis, endocarditis, rheumatic fever, Kawasaki disease and cardiac tumors seen in children.
