This ScanLab commences with Dr. Wilde providing a review of normal anatomy and then proceeds to Jamie Maloney demonstrating sonographic identification of the superficial and deep layers of the anterior thigh. Attention is paid to the origination and insertion points of the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This evaluation also includes assessment of the hip joint and the iliopsoas bursa with notation of signs of pathology and description of maneuvers to be performed should pathologic changes be suspected.
